This is Roxy in the talor, Iman's house. His wife helped Roxy put the sari on. I'm told it was quite the possess, but well worth it if you ask me.

My absolute favorite picture from the entire trip. A shot of the Haridvar Fire Ceremony from above.

Probably my second favorite picture. This little boy wanted to shake all of our hands and then followed us around for a while.
Anyway, there are about 40 more picks and 4 more videos so check them out.
Fantastic pictures. That fire ceremony is crazy! Very moving to see to see how passionate they are. If only Christians were that committed to God in the US. Having the river at your doorstep is awesome!
ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous photos. The shot of the fire ceremony is abosutely gorgeous (and so is Rox in her sari)! I'm going to Flickr right now to see the rest.
ReplyDeleteSorry for the long absence ... I enjoyed catching up with your posts and your exotic lives in India.
ReplyDeleteHave you been to any Christian churches yet? I know missionaries were evangelizing in India throughout the centuries and the British rule established churches. Have you seen any of their influence there?
Roxy, for someone who I have NEVER seen in a dress, you sure look beautiful wearing one. That bum Jordan will have to really clean up his act to be in your lovely presence. Blessings, mom xoxo
What great pictures!!! This blog will be a great record of your adventure. I have told a lot of people at work about it. There are more people reading your blog than just those of us who post comments. Keep writing and and taking pictures.
